Thirsk Falcons Walking Football
After only seven months training together, the Walking Football squad, consisting mainly of men aged over 50 from Topcliffe and Asenby villages, recently entered its first competitive tournament. Playing against more experienced teams with bigger and younger squads, the Falcons played four games on the day, performed really well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The team would be very pleased to see more members joining the squad. They train every Tuesday from 5 – 6pm at Sowerby Sports Village. If you fancy a try, why not pop down to see how much the men enjoy their weekly session. For more information call/text Steve Gallon on 07366 419416.
