Raffle prizes
Last week I mentioned that there are a few events coming up in next few months to raise funds for our Village Hall and I asked for donations of prizes for the raffles that are generally held at these events. Raffles are very popular and certainly increase the cash raised by our hard-working volunteers.
Thank you to those who have so kindly responded and helped out. Your support is greatly appreciated. It’s not too late to donate anything you think would make a nice prize…perhaps an unwanted gift or a bottle of wine. Donations can be left at the Village Hall or you can contact Doug Allan direct. He’s even happy to collect.

Book Exchange
If you have any books you want to get rid of please take them to the Village Hall Library before before Saturday 17 August. You can get access whenever there’s an activity on in the hall. Our plan is to look through any books left at the hall to renew existing library stock, some of which have been on the shelves for many years. We’ll then be taking all surplus books to Baldersby St James church so they can be included in the Book Fair on the 7 and 8 September.
