In last Sunday’s Email some information was presented concerning Music at Junction 50 concerts which unfortunately was incorrect. It is a huge task collecting details for the Sunday Email and my information comes from a wide range of sources, which are mostly reliable, but the error on this occasion proves that anyone can make mistakes.
Anyway, correcting this error couldn’t wait until next Sunday because one of the events in question is actually taking place that day and I wouldn’t like anyone to travel to the event only to be disappointed. Nor would the organisers of Music at Junction 50 events want people turning up for a concert that is not happening.
Correct details are:
Thursday 1 September at 7pm – Sirocco Winds – the 2022 concert series has featured five young talented musicians of the highest quality who will perform a wide range of music, and will speak about the music they play and why it is important to them. 7pm. £10 including refreshments. For tickets telephone 01765 640624 or on the door on the day.
Incorrect details:
The information that you should ignore relates to a Mary Reid concert on Sunday 24 July and a Genovia Bassoon Quartet concert on Friday 2 September.
Many apologies to everyone – and especially the concert organisers – for this error.
On another issue: Hearts & Crafts
Rural Arts has just contacted the Village Hall to say that because of the high temperature expected tomorrow they are postponing the Heart & Craft session on Tuesday 19 July. This was to have been the final session in the series and it’s hoped that a new date will be arranged fairly soon.
